Danylykha N. Social and Domestic Adaptation of Ukrainian People from Poland in Ukrainian Soviet Social Republic in 1944-1950 (based on the materials from Western Ukraine).

The dissertation is the research ofsocial and domestic adaptation of those Ukrainian people who came from Poland to Western Ukrainian regions. The author showed the formation and activity of authorities which were responsible for Ukrainian migration from Poland to Ukraine; she studied the geography of this migration too. The author paid special attention to the help, given to these setters; she showed how authorities helped them to adapt in new territories; she gives the information, that newcomers were free of taxes and could use special shops. The work also covers the facts about professional abilities of settlers, about their work in Soviet offices and factories; about their level of education and methods to raise it.
