Chornyi A. Training specialists for Marine in Ukraine in the last quarter of XVIII – beginning of XX centuries.

The dissertation is the first complex research of the problem in national historiography, which covers training of specialists for the marine in Ukraine in the last quarter of XVIII – beginning of XX centuries. The work is cover prerequisites of appearance of Black Sea seafaring educational. Theoretical generalizations are made concerning activity of the system of marine schools in Ukraine in the period of sailing marine whereof work based on fundamentals of principles of formation of ship crews of war and commercial vessels defined by marine statuses. It is proved that in the period of armored fleet the development of professional education of seamen was connected with creation of a new system of educational establishments and introduction of a precise system of completing fleet exceptionally with graduates of nautical type marine schools. The system of marine educational establishments and also the role of marine schools of Southern Ukraine in providing Black Sea fleet, private seafaring societies and companies with qualified specialists are researched deeply in this paper.
