The thesis is devoted to the analysis of the peculiarities of the development of psychological competence of the leaders to manage agrarian entities. The work includes theoretical substantiation, methodological approaches and the results of empiric investigation of the topic studied. The research identifies psychological peculiarities of management in the system of agrarian entities. The contents, structure and pattern of the development of managers' psychological competence to administer farming organizations are shown, the influence of micro and macro environments on the process of the development of managers' psychological expertise are analyzed. It has been found that the existing level of the development of the components which are part of the structure of psychological competence to manage agrarian entities is insufficient. It has also been defined that the components of the structure of psychological competence to manage which belong to the first level of analysis (planning, organizing, monitoring) predominate. According to the traits of the development of psychological expertise to administer three types of managers are identified: managerially-pragmatic, psychologically-personal and flexible ones. A correlation between the psychological competence to administer and socio-economic and socio-psychological factors is observed. The system of the development of psychological competence to administer agrarian entities has been elaborated and the results of its application are given.
