Babyukh V. The political censorship in Ukraine from 1920 to 1939 years.

The dissertation illustrates the formation and evolution of the politic censorship organization in Soviet Ukraine (1920-1930) on the base of archives materials, published sources and corresponding literature, its place in the system of political supervision. There has been revealed the creation and the development of a sole organ of ideological control in Ukraine - the Main administration in cases of literature and publishing. Also there has been analyzed the connection with the high state and party leadership of the republic and organs of state safety, a special attention is given to forms, methods, principles of censorship. For the first time in native historic science the process of going throw all stages of censorship mechanism has been revealed. A research has been done about the role of the Glavlit in Ukraine, jointly with special censorship organs, in the control of the theatre and film art. There has been showed the influence of the political on the culture of Ukraine (1920-1930 years). There have been determined estimation criterions of ideologically harmful literature and works of arts, hanging on writers political tags, creating stereotypes of proletarian culture. There have been analyzed the ways of forming a new mass soviet outlook and its influence on the population in Ukraine.
