Essay

Frequence and structure of congenital cleft lip and/or palate was estimated. Birth defects among parents and their close relatives and marriage distance were estimated concerning pathology origin probability. Influence of chronic extragenital, endocrine, chronic infectious diseases, occupational hazards, smoking, perinatal drugs use, living on radiation polluted territory on the increase of probability pathology among newborns was shown.
