Dissertation is dedicated to the problems of development of socially-historically and demographic processes in the sphere of Left-bank Ukrainian population within 2nd half of XIX century. Major tendencies of economical development, dynamics of quantity, changes in regional concentration, demographic structure and national composition of population, its production, sectoral and professional employment are being analyzed in the paper. The influence of reforms of 60th on the changes of economical relationships and state of the basic mass of population - peasantry are being researched. The author has expanded conception about prerequisites, volumes, rates and consequences of population's migrations in the 2nd half of XIX century. The author has elaborated the definition of migration region and features of migrations by particular Left-bank provinces. Ukrainians, Russians and Jews numerically prevail in the population's composition as representatives of native ethnicities that has been historically shaped on the territory of Left-bank Ukraine's territory. The growth dynamics of population's quantity was handled basically natural demographic factor. The forming of professional composition and production and sectoral structure of population was substantially stipulated the influence of migration processes. The author notes, that study of dissertation's questions gives the opportunity to distinguish as regional features as general tendencies of development of Harkov's, Poltava's and Chernigov's provinces. The problems that present certain interest and perspective in terms of scientific research have been defined.
