Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the investigation of morphofunctional changes of the heart and its structural components of its conductive system in the presence of rhythm and conduction disorders, caused by diabetes mellitus. It was established that the frequency of cardiac arrhythmias in presence of type 1 diabetes mellitus is 76.0 – 91.0 % in clinical and – 30,7 % in experimental studies. In 81,8% of deceased patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus with ventricular rhythm disorders and disorders of impulse conduction, remodulation of peripheral parts of the conductive system and surrounding tissues occurs. By means of histochemical research, it was established that in animals with experimental diabetes mellitus and cardial rhythm and conductivity disorders in cells of sinoatrial node and in specialized cardiac histiocytes of left ventricle, the activity of succinate dehydrogenase is decreased and content of glycogen is increased.
