Dissertation is devoted to the development of cross-border cooperation (CBC) model in the system of the state economic security providing. In the process of research the analysis of functional intercommunications is conducted between the level of economic security and efficiency of boundary region cross-border cooperation realization. that allowed to delimit a concept of "cross-border region" and "boundary region ", and also to ground the role of CBC in an integration process and regional development. On the basis of the improved methods of estimation of boundary region economic security level (taking into account such factors-stimulators, as an area of territory, amount of population, volumes of investments, production of industrial products, products of agriculture, export, import), generalized European experience of cross-border collaboration, research of modern tendencies of the boundary trading development, cross-border motion of capitals, intellectual and labour resources, and also found problems of cross-border cooperation in Ukraine suggestions are developed in relation to perfection of institutional principles of the economic security system to the requirements and practice of the European collaboration and grounded strategic decisions and methods of strengthening of boundary regions integration.
