Dissertation is complex research of life and activity of I. Gorbachevskogo (1854-1942). The historical role of this research worker and public-political figure is found out at the end of ХІХ - in the first half of ХХ item. Becoming him is traced as a scientist and public-political figure. Certainly place of creative inheritance of researcher in Ukrainian and world science. It is described a work I. Gorbachevskogo in the Shevchenko scientific society of in Lvov, Ukrainian free university, Museum of liberation fight of Ukraine in Prague, on position of minister of health of Austria and in other societies.
