Essay

The dissertation is devoted to research of life, scientific, pedagogical and public activity of E.Rykhlik. In the work the basic periods of vital and creative life of the scientist, factors of formation of his scientific outlook, reasons of arrest and determined. It contains the analysis of E.Rykhlik’s role in the national and cultural movement of Ukrainian Czechs revival, his participation in scientific, cultural, educational and public organizations of Ukraine in the first third of the XXth century. On the basis of the analysis of E.Rykhlik’s scientific heritage, his contribution to the development of domestic Slav philology and history, ethnography, museum business is revealed.
