Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to the social and philosophical analysis of education as a special institution. The investigation focuses on various problems connected with theoretical and methodological consideration of the notion "philosophical and pedagogical thought", studying education as a special institution, discovering peculiarities of education development. The essence of the thesis, which determines its content and fundamental ideas, lies in examining philosophical and pedagogical thought on various stages of civilization development and its influence on educational paradigm formation. The character of changes in the system of education, its functions under the influence of global waves, which appear in the period of transition of one type of civilization into another, has been disclosed. Changes in character, content of education and upbringing in Ukraine under the influence of external and internal factors are characterized in the context of civilization development. Specific manifestation of globalization processes in modern Ukrainian paradigm of national education has been interpreted. Measures for educational national system modernization in connection with joining Bolognue process have been analyzed.
