Shkolna O. Creative Activities and Artistic-Pedagogical Activity of Michailo Zhuk in the Context of Formation of Ukrainian School of Porcelain Artists' ( the first half of the 20th century).

This thesis work is dedicated to creative activities and artistic-pedagogical activity of broad based artist Michailo Zhuk in the sphere of ornamental and decorative art and artistic porcelain. The programs on stylization, script making, composition in ceramics, and production practice of porcelain artists of Odessa Art School of the second quarter of the 20th century were worked out by M.Zhuk on the samples of his own creative activity and objet d'art that were created by him during 1900 ties and at the beginning of 1950. The best practice of artist M.Zhuk was later taken as the basis of methodology for teaching in different professional and technical fine arts institutions as well as in higher educational institutions of Fine Arts of Ukraine. The school of M.Zhuk was distinguished by special composition techniques, decorative stylization, and technological craftsmanship of formation and decoration of porcelain.
