Essay

The thesis is devoted to the investigation of the oxygen-dependent processes (ADP-stimulated liver and myocardium mitochondria respiration, antioxidant enzymes activity and lipid peroxidation processes) in rats during aging and under NO-ergic regulatory system activation. We demonstrated the highest indexes of mitochondrial breathing in adult rats' liver and myocardium; in young rats' indexes of oxidative phosphorylation was on highest level. It has been shown the difference of aminotransferas reactions during aging with predominance oxidation of piruvatic acid in young rats and malatic acid in adult and old rats. The intensity of lipid peroxydation decreases in liver and blood and it increases in myocardium with aging. The major role in antioxidant protection in old rats' tissues and blood plays glutation-depended link of antioxidant system. L-arginin and L-NNA influence on mitochondrial function indexes define the substrate dependence. Activation L-arginin-nitric oxide system contributes to changingof lipid peroxidation activity in rats tissues by two ways: by decreasing of mitochondrial breathing (at young and adult rats) or by increasing antioxidant system activity (at old animals).
