Essay

In the dissertation the degree of scientific development of a problem, sources and methodological basis of research is characterized. The analysis of results censuses of the population 1989 and 2001. Has enabled to reveal demographic changes in structure of Russian population of Ukraine on a background all-Ukrainian of parameters. First of all it concerns quantitative changes, namely reduction of quantity of Russian population both as a whole on Ukraine, and on each region in particular. The qualitative changes in the researched period were not such significant as quantitative and insignificantly have affected a situation Russian in the state. The internal and external reasons of reduction of number Russian in Ukraine are analysed. In particular, the influence of such factors as migration and change of national identity on this process is opened. The social-economic changes in structure of Russian population in the period between censuses are considered. The influence of political and language transformations on Russian community in the country is investigated.
