Shcheglova T. Terminological word-combinations with compound adjective: structural-semantic and cognitive aspects (on the ground of construction sublanguage material).

The object - terminological word-combinations of construction sublanguage with compound adjective (CA) in its structure. The aim is the complex research of terminological word-combinations with CA. The methods are linguistic and cognitive description, analytical-descriptive, modes of supervision, generalization, typologies, quantitative representation, component analysis. The principal word-building types of compound adjectives in the structure of a multiunit term are determined: the CA-mere composings, the suffixal compound adjectives, the CA-unions and the CA with zero suffix; the CA prepositive and supportive components from the point of view of its morphological character are analyzed. The semantics of the CA first and supportive components is examined, its thematic grouping is carried out; the semantic connections of the CA components are analyzed, in the basis of which the homogeneous and non-homogeneous character of the whole compound adjective semantics is determined. The thematic grouping of the pivotal components of terms is carried out; the structural types and cognitive-onomasiologic models are determined and described. Application spheres are the working out of terminological nomination theory and training courses.
