Shkurskaya O. Syntax of the Prose by V. Rasputin (communicative-structural aspect)

The object is the language of Rasputin’s stories; the objective is to ascertain the main methods of the communicative syntactic organization of Rasputin’s prose and to define its role in the integration of the text as a whole; the methods are comparison of scholars’ different viewpoints, selection of information, complete selection, descriptive-stylistic method, hypothetic-inferential method, distribution, classification; the novelty – for the first time the specifics of the communicative syntactic organization of Rasputin’s prose has been ascertained; the results — the communicative registered organization which is the polyregistered structures with the dominating reproductive one in the writer’s stories has been characterized; the main types of topic and comment structures have been distinguished; the role of dominating comments in the actualization of the important communicative information and in the organization of the textual semantics has been defined; the syntactic specificity of the main narrative forms in the prose by Rasputin has been studied; the main semantic and syntactic methods of the creating expressivity in characters’ speech have been defined and described. The field is stylistics, text linguistics.
