Maslo O. Nationally-cultural component in Ukrainian folk tales' lexicon

The object of the dissertation is the lexicon of Ukrainian folk tales. The purpose is a complex analysis of lexicon of Ukrainian folk tales, dealing with ethno-cultural studying. One more purpose is distinguishing of nationally-cultural component on denotative and connotative levels. Inductive, analytical, descriptive, comparative methods with the elements of component analysis were used. Novelty lies in the complex investigation of the words with nationally-cultural component on the wide base of tale texts. Systematization and ideographic description of linguistic units was accomplished. The ways of nationally-cultural component discovery were outlined. The result comprises the following: the nationally-cultural component is definite factor of the reproduction of ethno-cultural specifics of Ukrainian folk tale texts. Words with nationally-cultural component were grouped into words-realities which reflect the objective ethnic world on the definition level and background words that fix peculiarities ofconnotative and associative ties; the branch is lexicology.
