Essay

Complex research on different aspects of holding and employment foreign prisoners of war and interned in Ukraine during 1939-1953 was done on the wide literature basis. The work depicts the conditions of life, the level of financial support, nourishment, medical sanitary provision and usage of work of foreign war prisoners and interned. The author revealed regional peculiarities of placement and division of the working resources on the territory of USSR, examined and analyzed characteristic features of their employment in various war periods and in post war period, estimated their contribution into the republic economy renovation.
