Essay

The investigation of the working-class participation in the national and democratic movement in the years 1985-1991 is presented in this thesis. The dynamic of the production potential reduction of the industrial enterprises in L'viv is shown. The influence of "perebudova" politics on the working class of L'viv is analysed. The place and the role of the working class in the activity of so called "nonformal" national parties and strikes. The working class is presented as the driving force of the national and democratic striving for victory.
