A complex of the problems, related to becoming, development and liquidation of Izmail diocese, which existed on South Bessarabii territory in 1857-1946 is considered in dissertation. Achievements of our historiography in sphere of staroobryadchestvo during the first half of XІХ - beginning the XXI centuries are analyzed. Stages of colonization South by Bessarabii staroobryadchestvo, which assisted to the economic mastering of region are determined. A policy of imperious structures different political forces and Orthodox Church in relation to staroobryadchestva South Bessarabii is lighted.
