Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the research of the possibilities of social constructivism paradigm for understanding process of European community sociocultural identification. It's shown that the term "europeanization" can help us to conceptualize the contemporary sociocultural transformations in the European communities. It is revealed, that multiple European identity is possible: collective identities are different, but they not always exclude each other - the can contain each other, be combined, mixed, laid on each other or coexist. Multiplicity is essential feature of European identity. It's argued that the European community can't be reduced to its territorial identity or essential cultural identity. Rather it represents a flexible communicative form which consists of permanent discursive practices about values and norms that recreate the openness of European sociocultural space. By the author is shown, that one of the basic vectors of Europeanization is the establishing of the forms of deliberative transeuropean politics.
