Object – clammy plantain (Plantago psyllium L.), fennelflower (Nigella sativa L.), jimsonweed (Datura tatula L.) Goal - substantiation of terms and means of clammy plantain, fennelflower and jimsonweed seeds’ harvesting from the viewpoint of peculiarities of plant development and seed formation Methods - field; measuring-weighting; laboratory; mathematical-statistical; comparative calculated Results – for the first time in Crimea comparative schemes of ontogenesis and vegetation period of clammy plantain, fennelflower and jimsonweed have been composed. Periodization of seed formation process have been performed for above mentioned plants. Methodology of assessment of laboratory germinating capacity have been harmonized with international rules for seed analysis. Sowing and yielding properties of seeds in dependence on the position at mother plant, external conditions during afterripening after mowing and means of harvesting have been determined. Harvesting terms and means for seeds of clammy plantain,fennelflower, and jimsonweed have been experimentally substantiated. It is recommended to grow these plants in Crimea as medicinal and ornamental herbs Sphere of application – seed breeding of medicinal, ornamental, essential oil plants; landscape gardening
