The objects are the life path and activities of the Governor Prince Mykola Repnin (1778 - 1845) has been comprehensively exposed in the dissertation for the first time. The aims are Main aspects of life and activities of this historical figure on the ground of social, political and cultural processes of the beginning of the 19th century have been analyzed after researching archive materials, printed sources and historiography of the issue. The methods are Mykola Repnin's contribution to these processes and the influence of his activities on social, political, cultural and public life of the Ukrainian lands in the Russian Empire have been studied. The Military Governor's activities regarding rural and urban population of the Malorossian provinces have been examined, and his influence on public and cultural processes on these territories has been tracked. A circle of persons who had an influence on forming the General-Governor's world outlook positions and determined certain specificity of his governance on the Ukrainian lands has been defined. Applicatin sphere is the training courses.
