The dissertation deals with the problem of the socialization of the first-year students of the Pedagogical University in conditions of the leisure education. The sets of notions "the socialization of the first-year student", "the social-pedagogical adoptation", "socializing activity" were specified. The pedagogical ways of the influence at the process of the students' socialization were revealed. The criterions and levels of the first-year students' socialization and their contents were determined.The complex of social-pedagogical conditions which provide the increasing of the efficacy of the pedagogical influences at the process of socialization of the first-year student were grounded and proved experimentally. The methodological recommendations for the tutors of the first-year academic groups about the realization of the social-education actions in leisure education were elaborated.
