Essay

The object of the study are demographic, social, civil, social-economic, ethnosocial, cultural and educational processes in a big industrial city of Kharkiv within the period of the 20-30s of the 20th century. The purpose of the research is study of life of national minorities in Kharkiv in terms of the national policy of the Soviet power within the period of the 20-30s of the 20th century. The methods used in the research are analysis and synthesis, comparative-historical, formal-statistical, problem-chronologic and others. The dissertation presents the first complex analysis of the history of national minorities in Kharkiv within the period of the 20-30s of the 20th century; changes in the medium of the minorities in the alien ethnic urban community are considered; process of inter-ethnic interaction (contacts, communication, connections, relations) of the national minorities in terms of the national policy of the Soviet power are described. All aspects of the evolution of Kharkiv’s populationethno-social structure are analyzed and changes in its national composition are traced in the work. Demographic, social, civil, social-economic, ethnosocial, cultural and educational processes in a big industrial city of Kharkiv within the period of the 20-30s of the 20th century are considered. The research of the Soviet national policy, its basic issues, specific features of implementing in a city are in the focus. Use sphere are courses of lectures for histories, writing advanced and scientificallypopular studies on histories of study of a particular region and Ukraine, uses of experience, in adjustment of modern ethnic situation in the country, especially in its east regions.
