Essay

The dissertation studies the origin, ideology and activity of the Ukrainian national communists in the period of the Ukrainian revolution. It is proved that despite of certain theoretical and tactical differences between UPSR (b), UPLSR (m), USDRP (n), USDRP (n.-l), UKP, group of federalists, Foreign group of Ukrainian communists they all have to be regarded as the participants of the Ukrainian national communism social and political trend. The prerequisites and reasons for the origin of the Ukrainian national communism are shown. The common and distinguishing features of the ideology and tactics of the Ukrainian national communist parties and groups are pointed out. The work reconstructs the process of relations (the struggle and the cooperation) between the Ukrainian national communist parties and groups and the Directory of UNR and KP(b)U.
