Dissertation is devoted to the problem of students' amateur choir group organization in non-specialized higher educational establishments. Pedagogical grounds, which provide youth socialization within the amateur choir group activities, have been worked out.It has been substituted in the research, that students' amateur choir group is an integral social and cultural union of students, which has it's specific organizational structure and performs peculiar functions in the field of artistic and creative activities, grounded on the principles of humanistic purposefulness, conscious initiative, and basics of collective nature.The content and the structure of the organization of students' amateur choir group activities consist of a number of substructures: organizational substructure, social and cultural orientation substructure; artistic and creative activities organizational forms substructure; joint activities substructure; students' amateur choir group members moral, ethic, and psychological well-beingsubstructure; members interpersonal attitudes substructure; students' amateur choir groups inter-group relations substructure; students' amateur choir group leader orientation substructure.The establishing experiment has demonstrated a number of difficulties in the organization of students' amateur choir groups activities of objective nature, as well as of subjective one. The objective problems can be regarded as: the absence of multi-objective programs for providing and substantial filling students' amateur choir group activities, shortage of material resources; the development of artistic and creative groups is not promoted and supported everywhere within the higher educational establishments; the limited number of contests and festivals for the amateurs of choir creative activities; mass media negative influence onto the young generation esthetic preferences and music interests. Subjective difficulties can be characterized as: the uncultivated artistic tastes of students, their keenness on the entertaining activities mainly; limited theoretical music, artistic, and esthetic knowledge; incomprehension of the choir art essence. By results of the research hold on the basis of the worked out criteria, in particular, motivation-oriented, communication-organizing and practicing and creative general level of the students' active participation in the amateur choir group activities: low, medium, sufficient, high.Among the pedagogical basics for the organization of the students' amateur choir group activities the following have been defined: the application of the principles for organization of the students' amateur choir group; variable application of techniques, methods and forms of work, which stimulate effective organization of the choir group activities; providing the psychologically positive climate of the choir group; choice of the diverse choir repertoire for the amateur choir groups; application of the integrative approach to the organization of the students' amateur choir group activities.The stage-by-stagemethods for organization of the students' amateur choir group activities have been experimentally tested. The first stage was aimed at establishing the students' amateur choir group, carrying out psychological, pedagogical and music diagnostics of it's members, as well as planning out the artistic and creative group activities.At the second stage the variability of forms and methods aiming at artistic and esthetic education of students, promotion of their general cultural and music competency. The aim of the third stage was the arranging conditions for "diving" into the content of choir group practical activities by means of forming skills and singing habits of choir members on the one hand, and actualization of the students' knowledge in the theoretical field of choir art - on the other. At the final stage of pedagogical methods the realization of the acquired knowledge, music skills and singing habits was put into practice via concert activities of the students' amateur choir group.The analysis of the forming experiment has affirmed the efficiency of the elaborated methods for students' amateur choir group activities organization. The comparative analysis results data, refined by mathematical statistic methods, in experimental and control groups, have demonstrated the raising of the level of experimental group students' active participation in the amateur choir group activities
