Three hundred pharyngeal tonsils removed in children of 2-14 years are histologically investigated, and it is discovered that pharyngeal tonsil epithelium has structural and functional heterogeneity. It is discovered that density of lymphocytes in pharyngeal tonsil epithelium reliably decrease in elder children in from 8 till 14. Quantity of 5 essential elements (Mg, Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu) is extremely variable in pharyngeal tonsil tissue and depends on children age, sex and different pathological factors.
