Essay

This dissertation is devoted to the study of physiological conditions, metabolism, functional activity of the digestive organs, and the digestibility of nutritive substances from the diets by laying hens in the second productive stage on the background of effects produced by the biologically active additives: hydrohumat and humic-seleno-vitamin preparation (HSVP). It has been proved that the introduction of hydrohumat and humic-seleno-vitamin preparation into the diets for 52-week laying hens in the period of decreased egg-production prolongs the terms of economically profitable poultry keeping. Under such conditions, the synthetic processes proceed more vigorously, metabolic enzymes become more active, thus, the digestibility and the assimilation of nutritive components from feed are improved considerably. It has been shown that humic substances enhance the activation of physiological regeneration of the structural components in the digestive organs and prossess hepatho-protective effects. The resultsof these investigations testify that the addition of humic substances to the diets of laying hens in their second productive stage improves physiological condition in poultry and, concurrently, increase the productivity and the quality in products, and thereby, in results in higher economic effects from production.
