Essay

The dissertation is devoted to solving the problem of energy security of the state, including such its part as ensuring energy independence.The indexes and indicators of energy independence are proposed. Their threshold levels are defined. There being studied issues of influence of the mentioned indexes and indicators on other indexes and indicators of energy and economy security. Ways and directions of guarantying the energy security of Ukraine are substantiated. Findings of the dissertation have theoretical and practical implications for substantiation of the state energy policy with consideration of requirements as to ensuring energy security, including such its part as ensuring energy independence.
