Malakyeyeva-Chebanyuk I. Development of an alive cultural vaccine against virus diarrhea of cattle

Object of investigation: bovine viral diarrhea and specific methods of its prophylaxis. Purpose: - development of means of bovine viral diarrhea specific prophylaxis in trouble farms. Methods of investigation - virological, bacteriological, serological, immunological, biochemical, hematological and statistical. Theoretical and practical results: Technological aspects of preparation and study by quality aspect of cultural live vaccine against bovine viral diarrhea have been developed, its application, taking into consideration vaccine virus immunosuppression, has been grounded. Live cultural vaccine against bovine viral diarrhea and immunostimulant - lipopolysaccharide from the culture Bacillus аlvei, and also the method of their simultaneous application with the purpose of bovine viral diarrhea specific prophylaxis in trouble farms have been developed and confirmed by normative documentation. Novelty: On the base of conducted for the first time in Ukraine investigations there was developed live cultural vaccine against bovine viral diarrhea. For its preparation there was used modified productive strain BK-1M, reproduced in monolayer continuous cell culture СVС. Preparative form of dry biopreparation has been created. Developed vaccine ensure high level of virus neutralizing antibody induction in the organisms of vaccinated calves and prevent clinical presentations of the disease. With the purpose of postvaccinal immunity correction there was determined advisability of application of lipopolysaccharide, prepared from the culture Bacillus аlvei, simultaneously with vaccination by live vaccine against viral diarrhea. Level of introduction: Normative documentation on live cultural vaccine against bovine viral diarrhea. Normative documentation was examined and approved at the meeting of Methodic Committee of IECVM UAAS (protocol № of December,8, 2004). Commission testing concerning vaccine antiepizootic efficiency has been conducted on calves in trouble, concerning viral diarrhea farms. Field of application: Veterinary Medicine.
