Subject of the research: technological processes of renewing the motor vehicle aggregate workability, which determine main repairability factors. Objective of the research: to improve the repairability at the expense of major factors of maintainability and motor vehicle power aggregate overhaul and repair (availability of diagnostic equipment, spare parts and work tools). Methods of the research and equipment: a method of solving optimization problems and techniques of reliability theory. For experiments, existing and specially developed computer-aided methods of conducting experiments. Theoretical and practical results: structuring and classification of repairability factors have been further developed; the coefficient of tool use degree has been substantiated; the dependency of varying motor vehicle repair rate against technological repairability factors has been obtained; a relation between quantity of spare parts and non-failure indices has been revealed. Developed were: operating fluid level control system; methods to assess the quantity of work tools. Methods of spare parts assessment has been improved. Novelty: new relations between major technological repairability factors and non-failure performance of motor vehicles have been established. Level of implementation: ХТЗ, plc, Association "Ukrtractor", Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University. Field of application: motor vehicle and agricultural engineering.
