Suhobokova O. Social and рolitical, cultural and educational activity of N.Y.Hryhoryiv (1883 - 1953).

The thesis is a complex research of life and social and political, cultural and educational activity of N.Hryhoryiv, who was an active participant and theorist of Ukrainian national and liberation movement. The problem has been investigated in context of the most important social and political processes of the first half of a XX century. A wide range of sources has been used, a considerable part of which has been used for the first time. The process of the formation of N.Hryhoryiv's world outlook has been investigated; his participation in Ukrainian national and cultural movement in Podillya region, his activity at all stages of Ukrainian revolution at 1917-1921 and in emigration in Czechoslovakia, the USA and Canada has been investigated. N.Hryhoryiv's theoretic and practical contribution to a coming into being of the Ukrainian statehood, the formation of civil society, development of national education and culture in Ukraine and in emigration.
