Atik A. Socio-cultural dialogue in the conditions of globalization and muslim "renaissance"

The dissertation investigates socio-cultural dialogue and ways of its realization in the conditions of globalization and the muslim "renaissance", when on the one hand there is a process of cultural unification according to the western model, and on another - revival of national cultures and the religions, caused by necessity of preservation of identity. The investigation emphasizes necessity of transition from imaginative paradigm of perception of Another, burdened by negative images, stereotypes and prejudices, to cognitive paradigm of perception of Another, based on rational approaches in explanation and understanding of character and features of Other culture and Other society. Attention is paid to the fact that in polyethnical society of Ukraine long since exists dialogue intentions which were always the basis for peaceful co-existence and regulation of arisen complications. However at the present stage the Ukrainian society is in a split condition, both political, and ideological, involving social, economic and political complications that actualize a problem of search of ways of interaction and dialogue, on a basis of parity, tolerance and mutual empathy.
