Dissertation is a complex historical-documental research of the process of forming, functioning and evolution of the electronic documentation management system in Federal Republic of Germany. Signs of the system, composition and basic functions of its elements are determined. The historiography review of researches of the system is carried out, a conceptual apparatus is analyzed. The sources of the system, forms of state assistance, scientifically methodical and organizational technological supply are reflected. Recommendations are given in relation to the practical mastering of experience of Federal Republic of Germany in the construction of the electronic documentation management system in Ukraine.
