Essay

The object of the research is the acute respiratory viral infection and non-hospital pneumonia at the outburst of these diseases. The purpose was to develop the optimal ways to diagnosing and prophylaxis of the outbursts of non-hospital pneumonia which originates from the viral respiratory infection among the fixed term military personnel of the training centre of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The methods of research were epidemiological, bacteriological, serologic, laboratory, general clinical, rontgenological, ultrasonic, instrumental. The scientific novelty is in determining the frequency, periodicity and the correlation between the outbursts of non-hospital pneumonia and acute respiratory viral infections. There was developed the diagnosing algorithm. Aetiology of the biggest outburst of 2000 was interpreted. There were also defined the clinical characteristics of non-hospital pneumonia on the background of acute respiratory viral infections. The features of the outbursts' epidemiological process development were determined and there were worked-out step-by-step controls which allowed to significantly decrease the sickness rate and to prevent the outbursts. The result is the diagnosing algorithm which allows for the quick definition of the etiology of the diseases and targeted therapy. For the non-hospital pneumonia outburst prophylaxis the developed actions should be carried out according to five identified stages of the epidemiological process. Based on the materials one patent for invention was received. The spheres of application are pulmonology, therapy.
