The subject of study: political-administrative, diplomatic, reformer, charity and military activity of P. Kalnyshevsky The dissertation is dedicated to the complex study of manysided activity of the last ataman Zaporizka Sich of P. Kalnyshevsky in context of conservation the state attribute in Cossack Christian republic and its inside and outside political activity, the relation with Russian Empire. The condition of study of the coshovoy ataman P. Kalnyshevsky’s figure is analysed. Based on complex of different sources was reconstructed whole idea about this great historical person and remove the line conscious falsification which were typical for previous historical periods in valuing personality Cossack’s ataman.
