Volobuieva A. Formation and development of the Kyiv press (1835-1917): topology, problematic, national orientation

There is a complex research of the Kyiv press (1835-1917) in this manuscript. The general features of formation, development and functioning of various issues are shown. The base of city's issues is found and created; the terms of appearance and activity of mass-media typological groups are traced. The main problems and subject aspects of thematic peculiarities Kyiv mass-media are studied and analysed. 814 issues are discovered by the candidate, which are divided into 11 groups. The place and role of this press in creating and maintenance the national self-consciousness are found. The analysis of the Kyv manuscripts publications proved that the absence of the Independence of Ukrainian state and hard discrimonation of Ukrainian people by tsarist regime were for a long time the main obstacles on the way of national press development.
