The thesis studies the preconditions, the course and the consequences of the Holodomor (artificial famine) of 1932 – 1933 in South East Ukraine. The thesis studies the preconditions, the course and the consequences of the Holodomor (artificial famine) of 1932 – 1933 in South East Ukraine. The author brings to light the Holodomor of 1932 – 1933 peculiarities in the Southern and the Eastern Ukrainian oblasts. The processes of the region’s productive forces decay, the disorganization of the agriculture, disastrous impoverishment of the masses are analyzed on the basis of the numerous archive documents. The increase of the Holodomor phenomena in the Southern and the Eastern Ukrainian oblasts is retraced, the number of people who died during the Holodomor of 1932 – 1933 in this region is calculated. The famine of 1932 – 1933 in the Southern and the Eastern Ukrainian oblasts is an act of genocide against the Ukrainian people.
