Essay

Object of research - Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The purpose - determination of heart rate variability changes characteristics and their connection with spirometric parameters in order to diagnose the neurohumoral disorders in the patients with COPD. Methods - clinical, instrumental (heart rate variability, spirometric), 6-minute walk test, parametric and non-parametric statistical, discriminant analysis. The results - the heart rate variability parameters dependence of constitutional parameters, smoking experience and COPD stage. It has been determined that the COPD course is connected with the decrease of heart rate variability parameters. The basic therapy influence on the heart rate variability parameters and the associated relation of their changes with the clinical-functional features dynamic has been presented. The signs of easier and more severe COPD course have been determined basing on the heart rate variability parameters analyses. A degree of introduction - practical recommendations are developed, are introduced into practical work of medical establishments, in educational process. Area of application - pulmonology.
