Dobrov E. Development of Donets basin coal industry in the conditions of Russia's capitalist modernization.

Thesis characterizes a process of coal industry development before the beginning of industrial upheaval, the reasons of its legging were investigated. It was also traced back that changes of geopolitical and geo-strategical interests of Russian Empire had influenced on Donets basin industrial development and its coal mining industry. The main periods and regions of Donets basin coal resources are defined. The peculiarities of Donets basin coal branch of industry in the conditions of industrial upheaval are found out; factors of influence on increasings and crises in coal output are defined. The process of coal industry monopolization and competitive activity of Donets basin biggest coal enterprises is traced back. State of coal output in the region is analysed and evaluated. The research has reconstructed the process of personnel formation in coal industry, working conditions and everyday life of Donets basin miners. The leading role of coal industry in creation of social-economical and ethno-culruralsphere of Donets basin is proved.
