Kutishenko M. Peculiarities of natural history, detection and diagnosis of tuberculosis depending of smear/culture results

Object of research - newly detected pulmonary tuberculosis; the purpose - improvement of efficacy of diagnosis and treatment of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis by determine of clinical symptoms, peculiarities of natural history, detection and reasons of diagnosis delay; methods - clinical, X-ray, microbiological, biochemical, statistical; the novelty - the comparative analysis of an expressiveness of ТБ symptoms, extension and gravity of the pulmonary lesions is conducted; the symptoms of the pulmonary ТБ and nature of X-ray abnormalities in lungs for the smear negative patients are studied; the productivity of microscopic examination of AFB is established at examination of the patients with pulmonary tuberculosis, which one coughed more than 2, 3, 4 weeks and are longer; it was studied frequency and causes of patient and madical delays of the diagnosis of ТБ; it was calculated the cost of treatment of rhe patients with pulmonary tuberculosis depending on timeliness of the diagnosis of ТБ; the installation of the clinical significant signs of the disease, features of its natural hystoryand detection, substantiation of expediency of usage of X-ray diagnostic before asputum microscopy and with the preventive purpose allows on 11,1 % to increase efficiency of diagnostic of the bacterial forms of disease, on 24,5 % - efficiency of treatment at the expense of well-timed installation of the diagnosis and in 2,5 times to reduce the cost of treatment.
