Besh O. Efficacy of the allergen-specific immunotherapy when treating the patients suffering from bronchial asthma

Object of the study: bronchial asthma (intermittent, persistent with mild or moderate severity) in adults; purpose - to improve efficacy of the treatment of the patients with bronchial asthma (BA) by means of the implementation in treatment the allergen-specific immunotherapy (ASIT) with the allergens of house dust mite and optimization of the monitoring of the disease course; methods - clinical data and medical history examination, ordinary laboratory, functional, allergological, immunological, acarological, questionnaire testing for the evaluation of BA, quality of patients' life and their adherents to the treatment, statistical; novelity - acarofauna of the patients' with BA houses citizens of Lviv has been revealed at the first time; immunological testing with molecular diagnostic confirm the main influence of the allergens of Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus in development of the allergy to the acarus in patients with BA; proved expediency of using ASIT in patients BA based on the significant improvement of the indexes of BA control, quality of life, speed parameters of lung function and decrease of the amount of basic treatment; the best indexes of the adherents to the treatment have been revealed in patients treating by sublingual ASIT; for the first time found that the immunological efficacy criterion ASIT is changes in levels of specific IgG4 to the components of the allergens of house dust mite Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus.
