The object of the study: full-time sensitization in patients with bronchial asthma, effectiveness of antifungal allergen-specific immunotherapy (ASIT); the aim of the study was to determine the effect of fungal sensitization on the course of persistent mild to moderate asthma in adults and effectiveness of antifungal sublingual allergen-specific immunotherapy; research methods: general-clinical, X-ray, functional, allergological, cytological, immunological, microbiological, sociological, statistical; the novelty: new scientific data obtained on the clinical and laboratory features in patients with asthma with persistent mild and moderate severity during the course of the presence of full-body sensitization; it has been established that the colonization of airways with mold micromycetes, which is more typical for younger patients, with a lesser history of asthma, better parameters of the pulmonary function, the presence of atopy, with long experience of smoking, contributes to the formation of a clear fungal sensitization to mold and is accompanied by an increased colonization of respiratory tract with Candida spp.; the new scientific evidence has been obtained in respect to the high efficiency and sufficient safety of antifungal sublingual ASIT against the background of basic treatment in patients with asthma during the year; for the first time the effectiveness of sublingual antifungal ASIT of asthma in patients older than 50 years has been proved. The field of application is medicine.
