Object of the study: genetiс-demographic processes and adaptability of Yevpatorian population Purpose of the study: detection of characteristics of the genetic structure and adaptability in Yevpatorian population to increase the efficiency of regional programs on community health care. Methods of the study: method of population genetics, genetiс-demographic, anthropometric, sociometric, epidemiologic and statistic methods. Practical significance: The carried out investigations made it possible to extend of conception about genetic processes in Ukrainian populations. Information about genetic-demographic population structure of a particular region was obtained; high risk groups in congenital and inherited pathology were revealed. These are necessary for the planning of adequate community treatment-and-prophylactic care. Novelty of the obtained results: Genetic analysis of Yevpatorian population was first performed. Demographic characteristics of population in such parameters as population, marriage rate, birth-rate, and mortality were obtained. The main genetic-demographic indices of population were calculated and the tendencies in their dynamics were observed. The nosological spectrum of congenital and inherited disorders and their rate in newborns were detected. Type of population reproduction was analyzed and selection pressure in the population was estimated. The features of migratory processes were observed. The efficiency, qualitative and quantitative adjectives of migratory were estimated. Parameters of isolation by distance and their time dynamics were analyzed. The estimation of inbreeding rate and outbreeding rate were made. Degree of introduction: Results of investigation are scientific substantiation to determine the priority directions in the work of medical-biological service in Yevpatoria. The results are used in educational programs at the Medical Biology Department of Kharkov National Medical University, Genetics and Cytology Department of Karazin Kharkov National University in the courses“Human Genetics” and “Population Genetics”. The raw material is used for student scientific works. Sphere of application: genetics, medicine.
