The thesis is the comprehensive examination of the names of military structures of France, Belgium, Canada, Romania and Moldova viewed through their translation into Ukrainian. The thesis caries out the translation classification of military ergonyms with the analysis of basic methods of translating both fixed and newly-formed names of military structures and their abbreviations while taking into account development of Ukrainian military terminology.
