The thesis is an investigation of the exhaust gas circuit operation of the seagoing ships with the aim of increase its efficiency. Special attention has been paid to the reliability and safe operation of this system. The thesis demonstrates that fuel combustion product accumulations exhausted from a diesel engine are kept on the exhaust gas boiler external heating surfaces by the action of adhesion, which is described by the molecular-adhesion theory of Deryagin and is submitted to its regularity. The reason of the adhesion is the presence of electrostatic forces on the boundary between two solids generated by the double charged layer caused by contact. The method of estimation and forecasting of heat-physical characteristics changes of the exhaust gas boiler heat exchange surfaces, the technique of operation organization of exhaust gas circuits directed on maintenance of reliable, safe and effective operation of ship propulsive plant are described. As a result of this investigation it appeared the possibility to forecast of the regularity change of exhaust gas circuit main integrated parameter, which is boiler evaporating capacity and moment of exhaust gas circuit efficiency reduction up to an extreme allowable level and periodicity of exhaust gas boiler external heating surfaces cleaning.
