Mudrova N. Language Game as a Means of Poetics of Proper Name

The dissertation focuses on a language game as a component of the system of expressiveness of poetonyms. On the material of literary works in Russian and English the linguistic means of onym game and the ways of its translation have been analyzed for the first time in the Ukrainian Linguistics. The common for different languages complex of the conformities with a law of the interactions of the structure and semantics of a poetonym has been also found out. The paper is a contribution to working out the theory of the poetics of onyms for it illustrates wide possibilities of using proper names in stylistics and in making the effect of a language game. The materials and results of the paper can be useful for solving the problem of a reconstruction of the linguistic and semantic peculiarities of poetonyms in the foreign language translations.
