Essay

The thesis project is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of social-political relations between Ukrainians of South Galichina and Transcarpathia during 1918 – 1939. The theme under consideration includes the period of complicated processes of statecraft in Western Ukraine in the between war period of the XXth century beginning with decisions of Transcarpathian People's Rada and All-Transcarpathian People's Congress in Khust on reunion with Ukraine and functioning of Hutsul Republic up to state independence of Karpathian Ukraine in 1939. Relations of local population and Ukrainian sichovy shots during World War I, relations of Ukrainian People's Rada representatives with Western Ukrainian People's Republic Government, cultural and educational relations of Ukrainians on both sides of Carpathian mountains are analysed in the given thesis. During 20-s – 30-s closed cultural relations have been established between South Galichina and Transcarpathia.
