Chekalyuk V. Diaspora press of USA is a communicating way of formation of ethnical Ukrainians /1939-2005/.

The dissertation is devoted to the problems of the ethnical identity of Ukrainians in diaspora press in the second part of 20 century /after the articals which were published in that periods in USA/ Ukrainian diaspora press in USA is a bright example of the formation of national intelligence by using the press. Thanks to the relative independence from the political system diaspora press work for the consolidation of the nation, solve the problems of its selfidentification. The aim of theses is to find in special material of diaspora press showing ethnic problems selfconscousness of Ukrainians, concervation their culture in emigration. The way for the independent press is get through using the experience of foreign press especially those which realize the tasks of the consolidations of nations.
